Bunny girl vector

by Intifada, April 24th, 2007

This is the Vector of one of the walls I made for Which?Waller’s second round. Since the actual wall was only the vector with a random stock behind, well, well I can’t deny it sucked. So I won’t post it anywhere, but I can give away the vector I made, since it’s not something that’s to my taste much (bunny girls eheeww). Same conditions as usual apply (see About page)
Original Artist: OKAMA
Series: Getsumen to Heiki Mina

High Resolution Absynthe scan

by Intifada, April 3rd, 2007

I bought a huge print of this very famous Absynthe poster drawn by Privat Livemont last fall and scanned the 1×2 meters big poster in lots of little bits and stitched them. The result is a high resolution, high quality scan for you to enjoy or use for personal non-commericial projects. I post this now to celebrate the opening of the Art Nouveau fangroup on MiniTokyo.

Walling Tips; Blending

by Intifada, February 16th, 2007

A long, hasty and (I hope) comprehensible post to give the beginners some tips about blending an anime scan in a wallpaper. I tried to cover different aspects like the scan’s outline, colour adjustments, textures and CG styles and finally a little last section about vectors. I couldn’t find anything else to talk about that was in the “blending” thematic so it stops there XD It was kinda long to make so if you have any questions or clarifications to be made, please ask.
Maybe I will add more sections to it if I get sudden inspiration, some day.

more Ukiyo-e

by Intifada, January 11th, 2007

Here’s a collection of images I scanned off a special edition of a Visual Arts magazine I bought at the Louvre. Various artists.
The very last one(bottom right) is a relay from Hiroshige’s Tokaido, the scan got mixed up in the batches. Enjoy~

U. Hiroshige scans

by Intifada, January 11th, 2007

Before falling in love with Art Nouveau, I discovered through the manga world the beauty of traditional Oriental work. Especially Ukiyo-e, because if was so close to modern manga artwork. A new passion in hand, I went for the library and robbed it of all the artbooks I could find. Here are some artworks by the talented Utagawa Hiroshige. He is said to be, with Hokusai, the greatest artist of the period. The three first of them are from his Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō (trail from Kyoto to Tokyo) series and the rest are scanned off a 2006 calendar.

a selection of A. Mucha scans

by Intifada, January 11th, 2007

Last spring when I visited Paris I bough a couple of Art Nouveau artbooks and fell in love with what has grown to be my favorite artist- Alphons Mucha. As tiredsome the vectoring process may be, I love working with his illustrations. Here are a few ones I scanned some time ago for your designer and fanboy/girl pleasure. Four of them represent his muse, the actress Sarah Bernhardt, one is from his slav series, two are decorative panels and two publicities.
